Is a Japanese-style gastropub that serves food, alcohol, and does not try to “turn tables” by rushing customers out. A place where you can linger with good friends, good food, and good drinks. And that's the most important part!
The space is a tribute to Japanese elegance with a Nordic minimalism twist. The long communal concrete dining bar, is perfect to welcome a group of friends or a date.
Cho Cho San menu offers a very fun interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Try raw scallops, with corn, nori puree and house-cured smoked bonito. The rich puree and umami of the bonito let the flavour of the fall-through-your-chopsticks delicate scallops sing. There aren’t many wines by the glass, but the sake list is long.
Cho Cho San is definitely on Sydney’s dining to-do-list. Just make sure to book in advance and be warned, Cho Cho San’s only open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but dinner every night of the week.
